Re: Camera Stuff

hey lady. no worries. i actually get this question a lot.  feeling like i should do a blog post about it. 🙂 you’ve inspired me.

ok. i’m a canon girl. period. i know those who use nikon swear by it. but i’m on the other end. either way. here’s what it comes down to. your lens is always going to be the most important part of your camera. i once heard someone put it this way. the camera is the canvas, the lens is your paint brush. make sense?

ok. with that said. canon offers a huge array of DSLR’s. what level you choose is going to depend alot on your planned purpose.

~if you want great pictures and maybe want to do some pro work….the 50D or 60D will suit you for years to come.

~if you want to just get fun, great pics of your kids…portraits to frame. the XS all the way to the T3i will suit…depending on your budget.

(as a side note, I shoot with the 5D Mark II, but only just recently upgraded to that, more for weddings than anything)

~now here’s the thing i would tell you save for and invest in. a Prime Lens. the canon 50mm 1.4f runs about $389. it’s the best bang for your buck lens there is. period. i use the 50mm 1.2f, it runs $1,500. just to give you perspective.

no matter which camera you choose…that lens is going to give you the best, brightest, my crisp pictures you can get. without dropping a small fortune that is.

here’s a link for the lens. followed by one for the cameras.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask any more questions….hope this isn’t confusing.

You’re also welcome to call me too with any questions!

Best of luck,

Stacy
