Bloom Flower Co. + Stacy Salvatori Photography

You don’t always get to pick the people you work with in the this exciting Wedding Industry. But when you do get to have a small say, it makes the day all the more wonderful to be a part of. Certain Venues and Vendors simply add to make the whole experience beautiful and bright.

One vendor I love working with is Kelly of Bloom Flower Co. Her work is timeless. Beautiful. And breathtaking. Capturing images of the exquisite creations she makes is always wonderful. When she reached out a few weeks ago with the idea that she would offer a discount to Brides that booked us together, well, let’s just say I was thrilled!

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the post to see her offer! When you call to ask about having her work with you on your Event or Wedding Day, tell her Stacy sent you!!

To be seen..

This last weekend I had the amazing learning experience of attending a Wedding Photography Workshop in LA. It was geared towards Film Photographers. Those of us wanting to move towards shooting more Film on the day to day. It’s been a deep desire of mine for awhile. I started out on film and deeply desire to get back, in some part, to that tangible aspect of capturing People. There is something authentic and timeless about film. The images below were my first try back on film in years.

One of the meaningful things that came out of the Workshop was a call to know what I am about and what 3 words I want to describe my Photography.

Authentic. Light. Timeless.

And a fellow attendee asked me what is most important to me in life.  I said “I want people to feel seen above all.”  There is little more valuable then the ability to see each other and love each other right where we are. I want my Clients, my Brides and Grooms, and those who share life with me, to feel seen. For all the beauty they have. And for who they are.

Happy Weekend Friends!!

Mediterranean Bridal Shower ~ Styled Shoot

This past week I had the chance to collaborate with some unbelievably talented vendors and artists to create a gorgeous Styled shoot. My Friend Jess from The Craftery and I chatted a few months ago about trying to do something fun together to showcase her gorgeous studio space. As she sent me mood boards and her ideas, I became more and more excited. She has such an incredible eye for styling and beautiful design. I knew trusting her would be worth it! And it was! I am so humbled by the group effort that it takes to pull off something like this. And I would do it a 100x with this dream team.

Words and Images ~ My Passion

As the New Year came I found myself being drawn to nail down more of what my Photography is about. I want to let people see me and my work for what it is truly about. Yes, photography is my business, but it’s also my heart and my passion. I am lucky enough to do something I love for a living.  I don’t ever take that for granted. As I work with Couples and Families I want to hand them images that they will be grateful for, for the rest of their lives. And in a world full of social media ‘ideals’ and Pinterest imaginations I want my amazing Clients to get authentic, crisp, light, and timeless images.

If I had to describe me and what I hope my work shows it would be the following. You can ask anyone that is closest to me and they would agree.

Relationships. People. I love the people in my life. My community. I desire nothing more then to love people and help them love others.

Light. I am always looking for it. Following it. Chasing it. Standing in it. Using it to create the sort of images I love.

Warmth. I grew up in Africa. On the equator. Warmth makes me feel at home. I try to show warmth on the faces of my Clients.

Emotion. I am deeply emotional. I feel things strongly. And when I look back at all the pictures that I love the most, they have feeling.

In looking through the pictures I have taken over the last few decades it would be impossible to narrow down all of me. But here are a few small pieces of my life.

My Family. They are my joy.

My Friends and their Families. They keep me going.

My Wedding Photography. Couples in love.

Styled Shoots. Collaborations with other talented and amazing vendors.

What is your passion? The thing you love to do? And how would you describe yourself and your work?

Thanks for stopping in. I love hearing from other people. Feel free to leave a comment or drop me an email!

Have a great weekend!

Stacy
