Family Moments ~ Spring 2020

This is how we have survived the last 2 1/2 months…long walks, hikes, and exploring. Isn’t it funny how nature helps us return to ourselves?

Styled Squad ~ Hacienda

There are no words really, to accurately describe the incredible experience that was the first Styled Squad. A stunning venue smothered in gorgeous pops of color, and the most elegant and perfect setting for all your Photography dreams. Seriously. The work that Kelly and Laura put into making this event perfect in every way, is unreal.

The vendors that showed up and put in their art and talents were a true dream team. And I can’t say enough about meeting other Photographers in the industry and making a ton of new friends and connections! We all encouraged each other and learned from each other. I love so much how at the end of it all, every creative came away with their own perspective and artistic vision. Truly the best part.

Here is a list of the incredible vendors!!

Cross Wedding ~ Bucks County Fine Art Wedding Phtographer

Some Wedding days go off without a hitch. And others have a few hiccups along the way. But the thing I have learned over the last decade, and that I was reminded of this past weekend, is this. If you have aligned yourself with the dream team of vendors, and everyone looks out for each other…everything will be ok. And at the end of the day, you have a happily married Couple, and beautiful images to relive it all!
Kevin and Ashely thank you for letting me be a part of the journey. And here is a small sneak peek to hold you over!
Congrats on your Wedding Day and I pray you have many happy years of joy and laughter together!

Cancer Loses ~ Audrey and Andy {Elopement Photographer}

They walked into Starbucks smiling from ear to ear. Calm. Adorable. And smitten. Audrey was the definition of enthusiasm and beauty. Andy had his hair back in a ponytail, showing off his handsome face and smile. They were in sync. Excited and eager to talk all the details of their upcoming Wedding Day.

When I received the email from them later that week, asking me to be their Wedding Photographer, I was so excited.

A few months later, another email came. Audrey wrote with calm and collected confidence. She had been diagnosed with colorectal cancer. 25 years young. Out of nowhere. Cancer. One of the most horrific words in the English language. But cancer has zero power over her and Andy’s love. Zero power of their plan to be married. The Wedding may be moved, or adjusted, but it would still happen. No matter what.

Just over a year later. After an unthinkable journey of chemo treatments, sickness, set backs, and hardship. They reached out again. Was there any way we could do their Engagement pictures on the originally planned Wedding Date? At the vineyard where Andy had proposed? I said yes. Let’s make it happen. Then the twist. Audrey called me. They were going to elope. Get married in a small private ceremony. Make it official. But it was a secret. Because they still planned on having a large ceremony and celebration the following summer.

As I captured their Engagement pictures first, and then their Elopement pictures after, I was blown away by their joy. Cancer had lost. If anything, it had only proven how much they loved each other. How deeply they carried each other. As they shared their vows and cried tears of gratitude, I cried too. It was one of the most beautiful experience, and one I will carry with me my entire life.

Audrey and Andrew, thank you. Thank you for the honor of allowing me to be a small part of this beautiful journey.

Picking Each Other ~ Buck County Wedding Photographer at Historic Stonebrook Farm

How do you know if you’ve picked the right Wedding Photographer?

As I find myself in full swing of 2018 Wedding Season, I had an idea to share something honest. Any newly engaged couple will tell you that they put a lot of heart and thought into picking the person that will document their entire Wedding Day as it unfolds. Being the Wedding Photographer for someone’s Big Day is not only an honor and major responsibility, it is also a choice. As I look back on the last decade plus, of doing this, I find myself immeasurably grateful. And also thoughtful about the future of what I do. I also have been lucky enough to choose my Clients, and in some cases I have walked away, because it simply wasn’t a good match. How do you know if it’s a good match, you ask? Well, here is my list of priorities when it comes to knowing if I am meant to capture a Couple’s Wedding Day.

You  must…

  1. Be madly in love. Head over heals.
  2. Laugh a lot. Or just smile from ear to ear.
  3. Trust me. I’ve got you.
  4. Be real.
  5. Be surrounded by the people you love most.
  6. Love light, bright, crisp pictures.
  7. Want timeless images that will always help you remember how you felt on that day.
  8. Did I mention be madly in love with your future spouse?
  9. Be ready to have fun.
  10. Like to dance.

Shelby and Nathan. You were a dream to capture. Your love for each other and God was absolutely amazing to witness. Please send me all your Friends! Much love and many years of laughter and joy!

Stacy

PS. I love shooting at this amazing venue. Historic Stonebrook Farm is a Wedding dream!
